1. Voluntary authorization
By initiating an attended remote-support session after instruction from an authorized DefenderTech technician, the user authorizes temporary viewing and control of the identified device for the purpose of addressing the stated support issue.
2. User responsibilities
The user should save work, close unrelated confidential materials, remain present, verify the technician’s identity, and enter personal passwords or multifactor codes without disclosing them.
3. Scope of access
The technician should limit actions to the authorized support purpose. Additional work, privileged materials, system administration, security investigation, file transfer, software installation, or changes with material business impact may require separate approval.
4. Session termination
The user may terminate the session at any time. Remote access should end when the task is complete unless a signed agreement expressly authorizes a different form of access.
5. Limitations
Technology changes can carry risk, including interruption, data loss, compatibility issues, and third-party service failures. Users and organizations remain responsible for backups, approvals, licensing, legal holds, records requirements, and business decisions unless a signed agreement allocates responsibility differently.
