When to use this: Make text easier to read on your Mac — use these initial checks when this matches your situation. On a work or school device, follow your organization's policies and stop if a setting is managed.

  1. Open System Settings and choose Accessibility.
  2. Open Display and look for Text size.
  3. Increase supported text sizes gradually.
  4. Open an app you use regularly and check its menus and content.
  5. Use the app’s own text or zoom controls if system changes do not affect it.

Check the result: You can read comfortably without losing access to essential controls.

Stop and get help when needed: Some apps use their own settings. Avoid changing several display settings at once so you can easily undo a change.

Need hands-on help?: Request DefenderTech support for individualized investigation or changes. We will explain the scope and estimate and ask for authorization before paid work begins. Do not include passwords, recovery keys or verification codes in your request.
