Help center

When to use this: Wi-Fi is connected but the internet does not work — use these initial checks when this matches your situation. On a work or school device, follow your organization's policies and stop if a setting is managed.

  1. Check that Wi-Fi is on and Airplane mode is off.
  2. Confirm the network name is one you recognize.
  3. Try two trusted websites to see whether just one service is affected.
  4. Compare with another device on the same network, if available.
  5. Record whether one device or all devices are affected.

Check the result: You have narrowed the issue to a device, website or shared connection.

Stop and get help when needed: Do not reset a workplace router, turn off security tools or remove network settings. Ask the network owner before disrupting others.

Need hands-on help?: Request DefenderTech support for individualized investigation or changes. We will explain the scope and estimate and ask for authorization before paid work begins. Do not include passwords, recovery keys or verification codes in your request.
