Microsoft 365 and Accounts

Access a shared or delegated mailbox

Add an intake, billing, or attorney mailbox to Outlook and send on its behalf.

Help center
  1. Ask an authorized contact at your firm to request access for you in a Microsoft 365 ticket — we cannot grant mailbox access on the requester's word alone.
  2. After we confirm, fully close Outlook and reopen it. Shared mailboxes usually appear automatically within an hour.
  3. If it does not appear, go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Advanced > Add, and type the mailbox address.
  4. To reply as the mailbox, click From in a new message and pick the shared address. If From is not visible, enable it under Options.

Mail sent from a shared mailbox is saved in that mailbox's Sent Items, not yours — check there before resending.
